According to Guangdong Meteorological Service, a tropical disturbance currently located near the Philippine Islands will enter the South China Sea on July 19 and is expected to develop into a tropical depression in the central part of the South China Sea around July 20.
From July 18 to 20, the southern part of Guangdong will experience frequent thunderstorms due to the influence of southern winds and the subtropical high.
On July 19-20, the development of a cyclone in the Bay of Bengal may reduce the southern winds, leading to a decrease in rainfall in Guangdong. During the same period, the central and northern parts of Guangdong will face high temperatures, while the southern regions will have thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds.
The meteorological department advises the public to take precautions and avoid staying near tall buildings and temporary structures.

On July 21, the southern part of the Pearl River Delta and western Guangdong will be cloudy to overcast with moderate to heavy rain, and locally torrential rain. The remaining areas will be cloudy with scattered thunder showers, locally heavy rain or torrential rain. The highest temperature will be 34-36℃, locally 37℃, n northern Guangdong, and 30-34℃ in other cities and counties.
